Wish you all a blissful Vijaya Dasami, Dassehra , Durga Puja, Navaratri and Bathukamma celebrations.
This day reminds me of the beauty of our blissful land BharataVarsha and the culture of Sanatana Dharma.
Throughout the world, every hindu celebrates the festival as per their beliefs, personal interests, family traditions and culture.
No single rule book. No one forcing that every one must celebrate only a particular way. No one forcing to pray to a particular form or formless aspect of God.
Sanatana Dharma provided for everyone to express their joy on these auspicious occasions in their own way. No wonder Sanatana Dharma continues to survive for millennia.
Some look at the Navratri celebration as a time of spiritual and yogic upliftment. Using each ‘day’ of these navaratri to focus on their internal yogic energy. Starting from Mooladhara chakra at the base on the first day, the yogic practitioners use this festive occasion to work on each of the chakras all the way to Sahasrara Chakra at the crown.
But its not necessarily for everyone..
Some pray to different forms of Shakti as a feminine power. They pray to the goddess forms.
Some listen to stories of how she killed different asuras in different forms and celebrate the same. Few hear these as historical happenings in antiquity, while few others try to imply each of these to mean some virtues/gunas of the human.
Some are happy enjoying Ramleela, while others play Garbha and Dandiya.
Few others celebrate Bathukama by dancing around flower stacks of seasonal and medicinal plants.
Some visit friend and relative homes sharing Shami(jammi) leaves as gold.
Some will do puja to their vehicles, books, pens and other instruments as a reminder of ayudha puja from Mahabharata.
To each his own..
Each soul tries to get best out of its current form in this birth. It goes through the different activities in its quest for self realisation. It goes through each of these activities from its own personal standpoint.
When someone forces a single vantage point, all it leads to is anarchy and confusion..
If persons who aren’t ready for the energy chakras forced to do the yoga, they will not only get frustrated but also disturb everyone around them.
May be they need the energy of performing Garbha, dandiya, Bathukamma or Ramleela or doing rituals and puja to the goddess..
Same is true otherwise..
Majority of the problems we have in the world today can be attributed to this challenge of trying to put everyone in the same slot.
Some groups (social, religious and others) will tell you theoretically fantastic information, but in practice they are a total misfire causing enormous troubles to themselves and others.
Thats the reason Sanatana Dharma provided a superbly beautiful unity in diversity in this great culture. It caters to the needs of every person without keeping everyone in the same slot.
To each his own..
Wishing you all a blissful festival..
Superbly beautiful unity in diversity of this great culture.
Happy Navratri
